Brisbane faces record floods

The Pine River has burst it's bank flooding onto the motorway near where the Bruce Highway, Gympie Road and the Gateway meet.

 

Click here to visit Brisbane City Council's flood flag maps, areas that they think will most likely flood.

 

Residents close to the River and associated tributaries, including Bremer River, Six Mile Creek, Bundamba Creek and all other Tributaries should monitor the situation overnight and take evacuation measures if required.

 

Milton Road about to be closed past the Brewery.

 

Low lying areas in Strathpine, Bald Hills and Bray Park being evacuated.

 

Caboolture, Caboolture South, Bellmere and parts of Morayfield are now cut off.

 

Parts of the Valley, Bowen Hills and Albion are being evacuated.

 

Brisbane City Council has warned that up to 30 suburbs face a very real threat of flooding over the next few days.
