Ex Tropical CycloneTasha has gone from the cyclone that nearly wasn't to the low pressure system that flooded a state, causing massive flooding across Queensland, including severe flooding to Rockhampton and central Queensland before devastating parts of South East Queensland including Toowoomba and Brisbane. The Queensland floods have been a timely reminder of the power of nature, and a warning of the types of events which could ensure if climate change continues unchecked. Cairns cyclone history includes many low grade cyclones but we must remember the next category 4 cyclone could be just around the corner so we do need to be prepared.
